Last night I knew I was thankful for a "nothing going on" Friday night. Everyone just home with nothing that had to be done. We all went to bed early. Thankful for a longer nights sleep.

The relief that came this morning when I realized the dishes were already clean and that I was not walking into a messy, dirty kitchen,

Being able to go vote without kids in tow,

My Mom for watching the boys so I could go vote and pick up Luke's homework,

Good health for those that have it in our house, and increased wellness for those who don't,

Coming home to a cleaned up kitchen,

My whole family liking dinner,

Forgiveness,

Inspiration,

all the sounds in my house, the ticking clocks, the beeps of various machines, the sound of legos being sifted, the shower running, the whirring of the computer fan, playlists and pandora, piano playing, creaking stairs, pattering feet on the concrete, it all makes up the soundtrack of our home.

11th- thankful to have had a morning with just jay.
12th- thankful for a very kind conversation from an admired woman after she saw me struggle with two boys during church.
13th-thankful that jay came home and took charge of the evening.
14th- thankful to run errands with a friend
15th- thankful to celebrate another year of jay's life! thankful to have a friend visiting to share the everyday life with.
16th- thankful my mom watched tucker all day so I could shop with my friend all day
17th- thankful to another friend who watched tucker so I could go to the temple with my friend, and be able to go out to lunch and shop all day
18th-thankful that goodbyes can be sad- makes me so thankful for friendship- that friendship endures
19th-thankful to have food enough to feed our family and another without making a run to the store the night before
20th-so thankful for my kids, friends, parents who are now my friends. they totally make me realize that we are not alone in our parenting struggles. Especially thankful for a turning moment for one of our kids last night. a conflict that went in the right direction. an exchange that ended positively!
21st- so thankful to have the gift of not being in a hurry. sitting in the car with tucker watching a cement truck and the men pouring concrete. how much it looked like decorating a cake.

I had been posting my blessings ... at night, in bed, from my Ipod. Problem was- they were not posting- but saving somewhere. I had done this for a few weeks. When I realized what had happened I just mentally acknowledged what I was thankful for each night.
Now that we are settling back into our school routine, I think I can start it back up- Here we go.

I saw a Grandpa yesterday. I was picking up my car after having some repairs. I overheard several phone calls made by this Grandpa. We were in a small waiting room. I could not help but overhear! The first was to his wife. He talked politely and endearing to her. Then he made a call to his daughter. First he spoke to his Grandchild, then to his daughter. He talked so cute to his Grandchild, and then so nice to his daughter. He needed a ride, and asked if he could take her to lunch.

I loved hearing this man. I was thankful that I married the kind of guy who will grow into this kind of Father and Grandfather.

Monday- I am thankful for family night. I am thankful for a night at the book store. I am thankful for understanding of others.

Sunday- I am thankful for a nap. I am thankful for four kids playing together while I had that nap.

Saturday- I am thankful that I can leave for the day and come home to things better than how I left them, with kids bathed and fed. I am thankful to have a break and to be ready to come back home.

Friday- I am thankful for the work my kids did today. I am thankful for their willingness today to do what I asked without expecting something in return.

Thursday- I am thankful for a late evening walk with Jay. I am thankful for quick runs to the store to pick up milk.

Wednesday- I am thankful that I was able to get something finished on time. I am thankful that a friend called to invite tucker and I over just to see the big work trucks at her house.

Tuesday- I am thankful that the "fix" for the air conditioner was a flip of a switch.

Monday- I am thankful we all worked together on cleaning up the backyard. I am thankful for yummy leftovers.

Sunday- I am thankful that it is Easter & conference weekend at the same time. I am thankful for my changing perspective of the blessings of Christ's Atonement.

Saturday- I am thankful that the boys and I were able to get all the shopping and food prepared early. I am thankful that in losing my blender beater, I was able to clean out and reorganize all the bottom cupboards looking for it. ( found it in the garage!)
I am thankful that our family makes it a priority to watch conference.

Friday- I am thankful for the kids having a day of off school and for three day weekends! I am thankful to have cousins close by to come and play.
I am thankful that our flat tire caused by not only a nail but also a screw was able to be repaired and that Jay was able to come home early to help me with it.

Thursday- I am so thankful my mom helped out so much with the kids today! I am thankful for my kids teachers. So thankful for the love and insight they have. I am thankful for each of the kids talents.

I am thankful that I had a nice nap.
I am thankful for free entertainment. The water line workers building a great mud/dirt pile for Tucker to drive trucks through. For free admission to the crystal bridge. For listening to Tucker describe his day. For how excited he was to tell everyone about the big hole.
I am thankful that Jay did our taxes this week.
I am thankful that Jay cleaned out the garage- I am even more thankful that these were all things he just did. They were not on any honey do list. I am thankful that his schedule allows him to be home more.
I am thankful for my kids teachers.

I am thankful that when I opened the fridge this morning the Britta had water in it.
I am thankful that someone else filled it up.
I am thankful to have everyone's hair cut- all the same day, without much hassle.
I am thankful for big terrific Tucker hugs. With arms wrapped all around my neck, and then a little pat on the back.
I am thankful for Rotissere chicken. I am thankful that I picked one up today thinking I would use it to make dinner. It was the dinner.
I am thankful for a phone call with an offer of something I would never, ever want. It cracked me up.
I am thankful for photos. I am thankful for my camera. I am thankful that my lens not working on automatic is forcing me to learn to go manual.

I was thankful to be able to go with savanna to hear her sing at contest. I was thankful that I could leave the boys at home for jay to take care of and get them to my moms for the day. I was thankful for an unplanned trip of shopping with friends and savanna, that shopping together provided support. I was thankful to have a day that was clear of things so we could stay out as long as we did. I was thankful for friends. I was thankful for yummy girl scout cookies.

Friday I was thankful for being able to leave Tucker at home while I went to get my hair trimmed and to pick up the produce for co-op. I was thankful it was Friday. I was thankful for a new dinner recipe that turned out yum. I was thankful to be able to run to SAMs with just Tucker to pick up a few necessities. I was thankful for a double dip ice cream cone at 10:00 at night.

Wednesday- I am thankful I got to spend the day with my mom for her birthday. I am thankful for a swept floor and a clean bathroom counter. I am thankful for a shoulder rub. I am thankful it was warm enough for kids to be outside and play. I am thankful for a washer and dryer "on site" to throw clothes and shoes into the wash after a mess outside.

Sunday night I was thankful that not everyone could hear Tucker tell someone they were being too bossy when he went up to the front of the chapel to sing. I was thankful I did not see him spit his gum onto the floor as he stood at the podium.
I was thankful to have a clean kitchen.I was thankful that the kids copied valentines made by their Dad. I was thankful to have clean sheets on my bed.

Saturday night I was thankful for a dinner out as a family. I was thankful we had money to go. I was thankful for Savanna's musical talent- and how I love hearing her sing. I was thankful to already have Sunday clothes ironed so I did not need to do it that night. I was thankful to hear "we are the world" and share it with the kids.

Friday- I am thankful it's the weekend! I am thankful that jay brought me a sonic drink tonight. I am thankful we got the boys out of bed to watch the opening ceremonies for the olympics.

Wednesday- I was thankful to finally make it to the post office. I was thankful to have the grocery shopping finished and the fridge wiped down. I was thankful that our piano teacher comes to our house.

Tonight I am thankful that I had such a good rest last night. I am thankful that I got several packages ready to mail. I was thankful to sit and hold Tucker while we watched the snow fall.

Sunday night I was thankful for how sweet Luke and Tucker were together. That Luke asked tuck to keep him company. I was thankful for the sabbath day, and I was thankful for the end of it! I was thankful for patient teachers for Tuckers new class at church.

Saturday night I was thankful for yummy leftovers. I was thankful to be able to get Luke's pants exchanged before Sunday. I was thankful for the produce co-op I participate in.

Friday I was thankful for my mom watching Tucker all day. I was thankful to go to Savanna's talent show alone. I was thankful that Savanna got out of her comfort zone for the talent show. I was thankful for a long lunch with Jay, amazing how much visiting we can get in when we are by ourselves.
Lastly I was so thankful to have an evening with friends- good food, good people. We had to drag ourselves away at the end of our evening.

February 2nd, 3rd, 4th -2010 blessings

Tuesday night I was thankful that school was going to be held the next day. I was so thankful to not get a call saying that it would be canceled again. I was thankful for a very unexpected but helpful visit and conversation. I was thankful that I thought to pray right before. I was thankful for the peace that prayer brought.

Wednesday night I was very thankful to have Jay show up unexpectedly from work early. I was thankful for leftovers in the fridge. I was thankful I was able to move the piano by myself.

Thursday night ... tonight.
I am thankful that Jack's scout leader dropped off his coat this morning.
I am thankful for music.Thankful for the cello. Thankful for how I can feel it in my chest and it stirs me every time. I am thankful for good news about our changing church schedule.

I am thankful that Jay stopped and got milk. I am thankful that I still have enough food and other essential items on hand- so that I don't have to go to the store. (except for chocolate- we need to be much more prepared in that department!)
I am thankful that we were able to convince the kids that it was exciting to be out of school again tomorrow. I am thankful for the long vacation!

Tonight I was thankful to sit on the sofa with Jay and Jack and read. I was thankful that school was canceled for tomorrow . I love Sunday nights when there is no school the next day.

Last night I was thankful to feel like I was caught up on laundry AND ironing. I have a cabinet that all the ironing goes into- until I can get to it. This pile can get rather large. When something is missing I will tell anyone who is looking for something to check the pile. Jay even teases me that I pull clothes out of circulation l. (I will neither confrom nor deny that statement.
So it felt good to get to the end of of the pile. Knowing all to well there is laundry waiting to start the process all over again. Thankful for that to- sometimes I have to remind myself that- be thankful for these clothes to wash. If there were any less, we would be missing someone.

I am thankful again to have a snow day and still have electricity. I am thankful for little things. Sleep- naps- time to just hang out at home. Jammies with feet for Tucker. I am thankful to have a partner to parent with. I am thankful for heat in our home.

Tonight I am thankful for our 7 year old. I am thankful for his calmness today. I am thankful he had a happy day. I am thankful that it was warm enough today for the kids to play outside and that I had the doors open. I am thankful that our breakfast of monkey balls turned out the best it ever has. I am thankful for a little nap, and that Tucker came and snuggled up and joined in the sleep as well.
I am thankful for a hot lunch date with Jay and Luke. I am thankful that Luke so sweetly asked me to sit with him.

Tuesday night-
I am thankful for good deals, and coupons that let me get things for almost free.
I am thankful that our family got to spend the evening together- even though it meant we were at walmart and sams.
I am thankful that Jay stayed up while I finished a project for Luke's birthday.
I am thankful that my mom had a sewing machine needle that I could borrow.
I am thankful for the events this week that are already canceled. I love it when our schedule free up!

I am thankful for Sunday naps. I am thankful for a room full of my family hanging out reading. Thankful that we think Jay passed his stone, that he did not need surgery and that he is pain free without meds now. Thankful for Stake Conference allowing us to have an earlier church schedule. Thankful for peaceful times. Thankful for good news, really good news for my brother and his family.
Thankful that right now reminds me of our holidays, together, not in a rush, enjoying each others company. Thankful we started rotating Sunday dinner responsabilities.

I am thankful jay wound up the vacum chord and put it away. I am thankful that the house got tidied up. I am thankful that I am in a home- I am thankful for the water that comes out of the pipes. I am thankful I can walk to the store and pick up milk and get exercise in at the same time. I am thankful for strong pains meds for jay. I am thankful for cute little footprints left in the dust on a bedside table.

Last night I was thankful for dinner that was brought in. I was tha thankful to be back home safe. I was thankful to have gone with savanna and to get to hear the choir she was in. I was thankful that we were able to get a ride since jay could not come up. I was thankful to see all my boys. I was thankful to sleep in my own bed.

January 21st blessing a day
Tonight I am thankful for kindness and generosity of others. I am thankful for the breakfast drinks that were given to us when our gift cards were not accepted. Thankful for the 2nd round of smoothies a little later in the morning.
I am thankful that so many people jumped to our aid when jay had a kidney stone attack today. I am thankful for my mom. I am thankful that jay has some good strong meds.

I am thankful that I got to talk to all three boys on the phone tonight. They sounded so different. So cute! I don't talk to my kids on the phone usually so it was a different thing for me.
I am thankful for wireless Internet connection in the lobby. I am thankful that jay took photos of the kids homework for me to see then sent it to me.

I am thankful for clean sheets. I am thankful for friendship bread. I am thankful for my Mom and Jay taking over the kids for the next few days. I am thankful for my Earth shoes and how they help my back. I am thankful that sometimes I am able to read my children and understand what they mean and not what they are saying.

I am thankful that we were able to have morning time together. A "Sunday Breakfast" instead of Sunday dinner. How everyone helped out. And for the most part willing to just do what needed to be done. For one meal-everyone worked together.

Thursday night- I was thankful for our piano teacher who comes to our home. I was thankful that Jay and I had time to communicate our thoughts. That we each were able to express our concerns and suggestions for our children. That we had time to do it and were not interrupted.

Friday night- I was thankful for the beautiful titch of a sunset-The beautiful paleness of it. That it was there. It filled me with hope after a gray day. To have the sun for a moment. I was thankful for a script tucked in my purse from Tuesday's Dr. appointment, "just in case" Luke started running a fever. Because today he did. I was thankful my sister was available to run over and sit with the two littles while I went and picked up the medicine, and that my neighbor brought the bigs home from school. At two different times. It allowed me to have a short nap while the littles watched a movie.

Saturday night- I was thankful that we all got out for a walk in the fog and rain- I took photos of us at Lake Hefner and you would not know we are in Oklahoma. It looks like we are on the coast, back in Oregon, maybe.

Last night I was thankful for the opening hymn for our Sacrament Meeting- How Firm A Foundation- that we sang all the verses. How affirming it was for me and my thoughts. I was thankful that Kim spoke in Sacrament meeting for another ward with Jay early that morning. I was thankful that as we sat down I looked into my purse and found the $20 I have been looking for since last month. I felt thankful for all those that serve and do what they can without complaining. And can I just say that I was thankful that Jay was called as a counselor in the bishopric? Because right now, I would "pick" counselor over bishop any day ...
Can I be thankful for that?

Wednesday January 6th-I was just so thankful.
Seriously so thankful and relieved. Completely relieved.

Thursday night January 7th-I felt thankful for a new toy from Jay. Thankful that he picked up on something said in conversation and sold a few things to get me a Itouch. I was thankful also that school was not canceled for the freezing weather. I was thankful that someone else took care of my tire that was loosing air that day.

Friday night January 8th-
I was thankful that it was the weekend. I was thankful that Savanna and my hotel room for state choir is going to cost half of what I thought. I was thankful for movie night at my moms.

Saturday
I am thankful for sleeping in. I am thankful for phone calls from girlfriends this week. I am glad the sun shone for the last few days. I am thankful for a date with Jay.

Last night I was thankful for our friends Jake and Amy. They came by to say good-bye to our family before they move to San Fransisco. Jake and Jay used to work together. Now Jake is moving on to work for a fruit company that specializes in cool technology type things that I use everyday, and Jay would be lost without.
I am thankful for our friendship. I loved whenever we were able to get together. Amy would always jump right in and help do whatever needed to be done, and they put up with our kids acting like happy puppies whenever they saw them. Amy taught me to make crepes- so yummy.
Jake used to be in a band, and I have been bugging him to sing for us for a long time. Finally last night he played the guitar and sang for us.
We are excited for this opportunity for them, but feel just a little sad they will be gone.
I am thankful for friendship-
